Education
I will be your education advocate in Albany and bring much-needed resources to neglected areas of our schools while focusing deeply on the mental health and safety of our children so that your kids can have a healthy, safe, and quality educational experience that sets them up for higher education and career success.
Funding Education
I will fully fund NY State School and Foundation Aid and overall funding for universal 3 and pre-K, enrichment activities, afterschool and summer programs, and access to sports and other physical activities.
School Safety
I will make sure to safeguard our children through comprehensive school safety and mental health support, supporting NYS Assembly bill NYS A902, increasing the school counselor, social worker, and psychologist to student ratio, while considering the need for school safety agents to prevent violence and escalations in our schools.
Educational Opportunities
I will ensure greater access to higher education, Career and Technical Education (CTE), and support with second language learners and first-generation college bound students.
Universal School Meals
I strongly support funding universal school meals and Assembly Bill A1941, which requires all public school districts, charter schools, and non-public schools in the state that participate in the national school lunch program or school breakfast program as provided in the National School Nutrition Act to serve breakfast and lunch at no cost to the student.
